Agree 100%, BUCC's motive is only about money. Since the road closure I have stopped going to Centrepoint, ! Utama and the Club at Bukit Utama. I used to go to all 3 places often so BUCC tennants are losing money. If ALL residents affected by the road closure stop using BUCC outlets maybe they will reconsider and do the right thing for their neighbors. The PJ council should also close the access from the Bukit Utama Club road to Kota Damansara and close access from 1 Utama to Kota Damansara so traffic from Bandar Utama does not congest the road Im now forced to use on my regular visits to the Curve. The U Turn by the Curve underpass is now very congested.

Yes who created this mess? The former authorities for a long time...in approving all the development at Kota Damansara without taking into consideration the traffic impact. Yes its a matter of dollars and sense, yes Bandar Utama owes social responsiblity...to the people who bought the houses from them.... the bridge and access was built for bandar utama residents..what did the other developers contribute i wonder...? If SMART is congested (during that period), We shouldn't expect the federal road would be less congested. The traffic should be much more slower up there on the normal road. It's not fair to blame 100% SMART. The heavy traffic on the surface road effects the exit portal of SMART, therefore spreading the traffic jam into the tunnel. I believe they are cracking their heads trying to resolve the issue. The brilliant feature of SMART; the dual functions; a) releasing the excess water from rivers in Ampang during rainy days to avoid flood; and b) providing alternative shorter route to KL. We shouldn't expect traffic in KL to be smooth during peak hours. Plan our journey, that'll make us smarter.

Back in oct 2007, following the final session of the 1st day of the Malaysian Law Conference the first speaker for the evening presented a DVD entitled “Twelve-11”- a first hand account of the family members of the victims of the Highland Towers tragedy of the 11th December 1993, caused 48 deaths and the collapse of Tower 1 of the Highland Towers. The speaker who was narrating the DVD, stated that what happened then could happen again if the local authorities did not have check and balances to ensure that such an unfortunate occurrence would never again occur, as most of these disasters are all man made and due to human error of which 95% of it could have been avoided if the proper planning and approvals were met and kept to. He expressed his dissatisfaction with S.95 of the Street and Drainage Act which gives local authorities immunity from prosecution, suggesting that the loss of accountability inevitably led to many other disasters . The full effect of this could be seen in the 2006 judgement of the 10 year battle by the families of the victims of the Highland Tower tragedy. The Local AUthority was granted immunity and held not liable for any of the damages and claims made by the Plaintiffs. history repeats itself, lessons were not learned.

Smart users; I'm one of the regular user and caught in the jam every morning but I still manage to reach my office half an hour earlier by using SMART Tunnel. What a smart choice. FYI Smart Tunnel 1st priority is to divert and eleviate flood from city centre. For those who don't understand the concept and purpose of this tunnel should not use it. Save your RM2, use normal road and stuck in the jam for hours.

I don't understand few of our Malaysian mentality. They really don't know how to appreciate our brilliant poject as one of it is SMART TUNNEL which obviously been recognised to the international level but been condamned by our local people. "KL FLOODED" again as what has happened in Kelantan, Kedah and also Perak. Poor them cause they don't have SMART TUNNEL at their places to divert the excessive water to safe lives and money caused by the heavy downpour.
